Of course, the snow is starting to fall (In most areas) and some days it can be nice to rest up and spend some time inside and maybe even have a cozy day in watching travel movies.
After all, winter is the time of the season for hibernation and restoration. (With a sprinkle of adventure and cocoa.)
However, maybe you’re still wanting to experience travel but while in the comfort of your home or on your couch?
One of the easiest streaming services is Prime Video, which is easy to sign up for here. But they are also available on other streaming services as well, this one is just easiest because I already pay for prime for the van supplies.
Well, I’ve got some great travel movies here for you!

Eat Pray Love 2010
Firstly, I must admit that this movie and book are like my own personal bibles, I absolutely love it and recommend it to everyone – so here I am again, recommending it!
After the acclaimed writer created the life she had thought that she had wanted; the dream house, husband, and career, she faced lingering unhappiness.
So, she divorced her husband, lost everything, and set off on a whirlwind of adventures!
As she sets forth on her journey of self-discovery through Italy, India, and Bali, she’s later faced with something even harder than saying goodbye…
Overall, this is my absolute favorite out of all the other travel movies! Click here to start watching!
The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 1 – 2005 & The Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2 – 2008
Although this one is a bit older, it’s still a total classic!
A group of girls from high school go off on their self-discovery adventures around the world and stay in touch through writing each other letters and passing along this magical pair of pants that just happens to fit all of them perfectly.
Not only is this a magical pair of jeans but it just so happens to be worn during some of the most miraculous adventures of their time apart.
Alongside these adventures are peaks into the cultures throughout Italy, Mexico, South Carolina, Turkey, Vermont, and more!

Wild 2014
Holy wow! This movie was absolutely fantastic and a great one to watch before any backpacking trip, it’s full of inspiration!
As the main character’s mother passes, her marriage shatters, and she starts getting deeper into self-destructive behavior; she desperately takes another path.
So, she picks up a book she sees and the gas station on the Pacific Crest Trail, and decides to set out alone.
However, the Pacific Crest Trail isn’t just any trail, it’s the country’s longest and toughest through trails.
Although she has no outdoor experience, she finds her sheer will to be driving her.
Also, I’d have to say this is my second favorite of all the travel movies!

Nomadland 2020
What better movie to recommend than one that relates to experiences I’ve had specifically! (The picture on the blog article was actually taken in my van!)

Alongside her journeys throughout the Midwest, she finds herself being faced with internal and external challenges as well a gracious community of support.

Girls Trip 2017
Okay, I get it, it’s not a classy one, but dang is it a sassy and funny one!
As a group of girls reconnects after growing distant between living their adult lives, they decide to live it up at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
So, prepare for exploring, dancing, singing, laughing, sass, spice, and so much more!
Not only do they have the most fun that they have had in years, they also discover their inner strengths!

PS: They get pretty rowdy in this one, fair warning! But It’s a great laugh!
