Overall, every camper van is going to have a bit of a different set-up or build, but for this camper conversion van there are definitely some quirky and fun essentials, that truly give the van that homey touch!
So, I know many people have decided to start a van build and are on the lookout for those essentials to give it the homey touch. I’ve taken the time to lay out all the camper conversion van essentials that have truly made a difference in the overall happiness while in the van.
ELECTRICAL & SOLAR SETUP
The best part about solar was being able to charge everything at a moment’s notice. Especially since I chose to buy rechargeable electronics like the water pump, portable charger, Garmin watch, LED lights, and even the option for a fridge.
DISCLOSURE: I am not a certified electrician, and I’d recommend getting your electrical set-up checked over by an electrician before you hook everything up. If your electrical is set up incorrectly, it can lead to a dangerous situation.
Below are some major electrical and solar elements for the camper conversion van:
Even though the kitchen looks small, every single nook and cranny was optimized for storage!
I’m especially impressed with the drawer organizer, it turned out even better than expected, and everything fits wonderfully!
Overall, I opted for having no wood cabinets because they have so much more extra weight, and it turned out lovely!
Here are some of the camper conversion van kitchen essentials below (The products are either exactly what I use or very similar!-Sometimes products go out of stock)
I had absolutely no issues with this bed and found it to be quite comfortable.
Also, the edges of the purchased bedding were cut to fit the bed frame outline.
As far as the mattress protector goes, I always have them on any mattress I own, because it allows for the mattress to last a bit longer and stay cleaner.
Personally, I found the shower set up to be the most difficult part, the first set-up was not personally my favorite (although, many love it!)
After a while, I decided to switch to a different shower setup and often opted for using facilities as well.

After finding out that so many people had their bathrooms for employees only, they were dirty, or even that they had been shut down for maintenance, having the toilet was such a relief.
Heck, I even had a friend once that was stuck in stopped traffic for 3 hours, and she was so happy she had a toilet, sometimes there are just situations that call for having a toilet.
I opted for a toilet bucket for the price, size, and weight. Alongside the bucket toilet, I also opted for kitty litter to reduce any smells! There are virtually almost no smells with the bucket toilet.
