PACKING FOR A ROAD TRIP CHECKLIST
This checklist is made to help us clear our minds for the more important parts of planning the road trip and to keep packing a breeze!
I chose not to add a lot of photos to this article to really keep it focused on the checklist aspect.
Let’s get packed and ready for the next adventure, who’s with me?!

CAR ESSENTIALS
1. Map
There are so many options these days! I personally download the Google Maps route while I have internet, have the Road Atlas handy, and also have my Garmin watch ready to go. Garmin has downloadable maps for most areas.
2. License and registration
3. Cards & cash ($40-$100) For parking meters, tolls, emergencies etc.
4. Scrap paper & pen
These come in handy if there is ever an accident, and it needs to be communicated to the other person.
5. Car insurance
Car insurance coverage can be fairly specific for each state, double-check with your car insurance company to make sure you’re covered in the state you’re going to.
6. AAA information
AAA is also specific to each area, you’ll want to double-check coverage with them as well!
7. Emergency tire changing supplies – spare tire, car jack, tire iron.
9. Oil
(Check your local automotive store, they will help pick out the oils specific for your vehicle)
This actually comes in handy more than most people think! Having this handy while being in the desert or going through a wind storm, was especially handy. The windshield was always covered in sand or mud.
